Reading WTF Taekwondo is a friendly club started in January 2006 in Reading, Berkshire.
We practice WTF (Olympic-style) Taekwondo, incorporating a range of elements stemming from traditional, sporting and self-defence applications, as well as the sophisticated kicking techniques for which taekwondo is famed. We train in all elements of taekwondo: Olympic-style sparring, basic techniques in lines, patterns, self-defence, knife-defence (for higher grades), breaking and partner work such as one-step sparring and kicking drills.
Our club is a diverse mix of nations, ages, gender and grades. About half of our members are female, a third of the club from foreign climes and our members range from 16 to over 50 years old (We only accept students from age 16 - if they are younger but mature for their age or experienced in taekwondo then please contact us to see if our club is suitable for them)
For more information on when and where we train, and what you need to do to join our club, please see the links under 'pages' to the right .
